In decision 3/COP.7 the COP established the ad hoc Intergovernmental Intersessional Working Group (IIWG) with a mandate to review the JIU report in full and to develop a draft ten-year strategic plan and framework to enhance the implementation of the Convention by addressing, inter alia, the recommendations of the JIU report.
30- وأنشأ مؤتمر الأطراف، بموجب المقرر 3/م أ-7، فريقاً حكومياً دولياً مخصصاً عاملاً بين الدورات ومكلفاً بولاية استعراض تقرير وحدة التفتيش المشتركة استعراضاً كاملاً ووضع مشروع خطة وإطار عمل استراتيجيين للسنوات العشر من أجل تعزيز تنفيذ الاتفاقية استناداً إلى معالجة التوصيات الواردة في تقرير وحدة التفتيش المشتركة، بصورة خاصة.

The results of the work of the Intergovernmental Intersessional Working Group (IIWG) will be fundamental for the future mandate and format of the CRIC.
وستكون نتائج عمل الفريق الحكومي الدولي العامل بين الدورات أساسية لولاية وشكل لجنة استعراض تنفيذ الاتفاقية مستقبلاً.

However, this is not a consensus document and therefore, it does not necessarily reflect the views of all IIWG members.

1. The present document summarizes the various deliberations of the Conference of the Parties (COP) which led to the establishment of the Intergovernmental Intersessional Working Group (IIWG).

An effort should be made to further develop implementation indicators, taking into account the work of the AHWG and the IIWG.

This necessity was reflected in the JIU report and should be addressed in the context of the work of the IIWG.
