4. The 2012 - 2013 reporting and review process was the first reporting cycle under the Convention since the adoption of The Strategy where affected country Parties were requested to report on impact indicators relating to strategic objectives 1, 2 and 3.

Decision 12/COP.9 directs the CST to contribute to the work of the CRIC by reviewing and assessing scientific information from Parties and other reporting entities, in particular on impact indicators relating to strategic objectives 1, 2 and 3 of The Strategy.
ويوجه المقرَّر 12/م أ-9 لجنة العلم والتكنولوجيا إلى المساهمة في أعمال لجنة استعراض تنفيذ الاتفاقية عن طريق استعراض وتقييم المعلومات العلمية الواردة من الأطراف والكيانات الأخرى المبلِّغة، ولا سيما المعلومات المتعلقة بمؤشرات تقييم الأثر المتصلة بالأهداف الاستراتيجية 1 و2 و3 المحددة في الاستراتيجية.

In accordance with decision 12/COP.9, the CST will contribute to the work of the CRIC by reviewing and assessing scientific information from Parties and other reporting entities, in particular on impact indicators relating to strategic objectives 1, 2 and 3 of The Strategy.

43. The 2012 - 2013 reporting and review process was the first reporting cycle under the Convention since the adoption of The Strategy where affected country Parties were requested to report on impact indicators relating to strategic objectives 1, 2 and 3.

Issues addressed during third special session of the Committee included the preparation of the third United Nations Convention to Combat Desertification Scientific Conference and progress made in refining the impact indicators relating to strategic objectives 1, 2 and 3 of the 10-year strategic plan and framework (2008-2018).
36 - وشملت المسائل المطروحة خلال الدورة الاستثنائية الثالثة للجنة الإعداد للمؤتمر العلمي الثالث لاتفاقية الأمم المتحدة لمكافحة التصحر والتقدم المحرز في تنقيح مؤشرات الأثر المتصلة بالأهداف الاستراتيجية 1 و 2 و 3 الواردة في الخطة وإطار العمل الاستراتيجيين للسنوات العشر (2008-2018).

Decides that the Committee on Science and Technology shall contribute to the work of the CRIC by reviewing and assessing scientific information from Parties and other reporting entities, in particular on impact indicators relating to strategic objectives 1, 2 and 3 of The Strategy.

By its decision 12/COP.9, on the performance review and assessment of the implementation of the Convention and The Strategy, the COP decided that the CST should contribute to the work of the CRIC by reviewing and assessing scientific information from Parties and other reporting entities, in particular on impact indicators relating to strategic objectives 1, 2 and 3 of The Strategy.

By decision 12/COP.9, the Conference of the Parties (COP) requested the Committee on Science and Technology (CST) to contribute to the work of the Committee for the Review of the Implementation of the Convention (CRIC) by reviewing and assessing scientific information from Parties and other reporting entities, in particular on impact indicators relating to strategic objectives 1, 2 and 3 of The Strategy.
1- طلب مؤتمر الأطراف من لجنة العلم والتكنولوجيا، في مقرره 12 م/أ-9، أن تُسهم في عمل لجنة استعراض تنفيذ الاتفاقية عن طريق استعراض وتقييم المعلومات العلمية المقدمة من الأطراف وغيرها من الكيانات المقدِّمة للتقارير، وبخاصة فيما يتعلق بمؤشرات تقييم الأثر المتصلة بالأهداف الاستراتيجية 1 و2 و3 من " الاستراتيجية " .
