وقد طوعت جدول أعمالها وأساليب عملها دوريا لتتمكن من تقديم مشورة الخبراء المناسبة في ظروف متغيرة إلى المجلس، وإلى الصناديق والبرامج المتعددة اﻷطراف التي تدعم اﻷنشطة التنفيذية في الميدان الاجتماعي، وإلى الحكومات التي تطلب التوجيه التقني في صياغة السياسات الوطنية وتنفيذها وتقييمها.
