Kuwait attaches particular importance to the implementation by Iraq of the provisions of Security Council resolution 687 (1991) and would like to stress the following points:

13. In a meeting with the Coordinator, the Minister for Foreign Affairs of Kuwait confirmed his Government's readiness to provide support and assistance to the United Nations and its bodies to accelerate the implementation by Iraq of outstanding obligations pursuant to relevant Security Council resolutions.
13 - وفي اجتماع مع المنسق أكد وزير خارجية الكويت استعداد الكويت لتقديم الدعم والمساعدة إلى الأمم المتحدة وهيئاتها من أجل تسريع تنفيذ العراق للالتزامات العالقة على النحو المنصوص عليه في قرارات مجلس الأمن ذات الصلة.

19. The Prime Minister of Kuwait in his reply dated 12 May 2010 (see annex II) stressed that the issue of missing Kuwaiti persons and property should be taken to a new and practical level, with a view to expediting the implementation by Iraq of its international commitments under the relevant Security Council resolutions, thereby strengthening the process of building trust and cooperation between the two countries.
