Meeting humanitarian concerns was still a long-term undertaking, and in that regard China wished to collaborate with other States parties in further efforts to improve the implementation of Amended Protocol II, strengthen its universalization and achieve its primary objectives, namely the prompt elimination of the scourge of mines throughout the world.
