31. In this connection, the Committee agreed that, with regard to reports overdue for five years or more, it might decide to consider the implementation of the Convention in the States parties concerned in the absence of their reports and to invite their representatives to participate in the relevant meetings.
٣١ - وفي هذا الصدد، وافقت اللجنة، فيما يتعلق بالتقارير المتأخرة لمدة خمسة سنوات أو أكثر، على أنها قد تقرر النظر في تنفيذ الاتفاقية في الدول اﻷطراف المعنية في حالة عدم ورود تقاريرها، ودعوة ممثليها إلى المشاركة في الاجتماعات ذات الصلة.

It also recalled that the Committee had decided that failing receipt of the reports within the suggested time frame, and as a last resort, it would proceed with consideration of the implementation of the Convention in the States parties concerned in the absence of a report (see A/62/38, part three, para. 675).
