178- ومع أنه رُئي أن من المهم إشراك هيئات غير حكومية في عملية تنفيذ توصيات اليونيسبيس الثالث فقد تبين أن إشراك القطاع الخاص، بتحديد السبل والوسائل المناسبة والمجدية لكي يعمل كشريك للحكومات والمؤسسات الدولية، يمثل تحديا صعبا.

The Committee agreed that the establishment of action teams to initiate the process of implementing the recommendations of UNISPACE III prioritized by Member States following the Conference was a successful and innovative mechanism and that the inputs received from the action teams could serve to guide the work of the Committee.

54. Mr. Chaudhry (Pakistan), noting with satisfaction the progress made in implementing the recommendations of UNISPACE III, explained his delegation's position on a number of issues considered by the Committee on the Peaceful Uses of Outer Space.

In addition to the technical conclusions, it was recommended that the United Nations/IAF series of workshops should be used as an important instrument in implementing the recommendations of UNISPACE III. The planning of workshops should be a more continuous process, with the active involvement of all key players, and be undertaken on a more solid funding base.
