رابعا - اقتراحات تقدمها اللجنة لتحسين تنفيذ التدابير المفروضة على يونيتا

By that resolution, the Council extended the Mechanism's mandate for a two-month period and requested it to carry out ample consultations in Angola with representatives of the Government and UNITA with a view to contributing to a full review by the Council of the sanctions imposed on UNITA.
ووفقا لذلك القرار مدد المجلس ولاية الآلية لمدة شهرين، وطلب إليها إجراء مشاورات موسعة في أنغولا مع ممثلي الحكومة ويونيتا بهدف الإسهام في قيام المجلس بإجراء استعراض كامل للجزاءات المفروضة على يونيتا.

4. The Chairman was authorized to contact the Permanent Representatives of neighbouring States to discuss with them possible ways to enhance the implementation of the mandatory measures imposed on UNITA.

3. Accordingly, the Joint Commission recognizes that the reasons to support the maintenance of sanctions against UNITA have ceased to exist, and recommends that the United Nations Security Council consider, with the closure of the Joint Commission, the immediate lifting of all sanctions imposed on UNITA.
3 - وبذلك تسلم اللجنة المشتركة بأن الأسباب الداعية إلى مساندة استمرار الجزاءات المفروضة على يونيتا لم تعد قائمة، وتوصي بأن ينظر مجلس الأمن للأمم المتحدة ، مع انتهاء عمل اللجنة، في مسألة رفع كافة الجزاءات المفروضة على يونيتا فورا.

13. Calls on Member States to implement fully the measures imposed on UNITA contained in the relevant provisions of resolutions 864 (1993) of 15 September 1993, 1127 (1997) of 28 August 1997 and 1173 (1998) of 12 June 1998, and expresses its readiness to consider appropriate reinforcing steps;
١٣ - يطلب إلى الدول اﻷعضاء القيام بالتنفيذ الكامل للتدابير المفروضة على يونيتا والواردة في اﻷحكـــام ذات الصلة من القرارات ٨٦٤ )١٩٩٣( المؤرخ ١٥ أيلول/سبتمبر ١٩٩٣، و ١١٢٧ )١٩٩٧( المؤرخ ٢٨ آب/أغسطس ١٩٩٧، و ١١٧٣ )١٩٩٨( المؤرخ ١٢ حزيران/يونيه ١٩٩٨، ويعرب عن استعداده للنظر في اتخاذ خطوات التعزيز المناسبة؛

5. In accordance with Security Council resolutions 1202 (1998) of 15 October 1998 and 1213 (1998) of 3 December 1998, the Secretary-General submitted his report to the Council on Angola (S/1999/49) containing, inter alia, recommendations on improving the implementation of the measures imposed on UNITA contained in resolutions 864 (1993), 1127 (1997) and 1173 (1998).
