The Conference stresses the importance of the signature and ratification by the nuclear-weapon States that have not yet done so of the relevant protocols to the treaties that establish nuclear-weapon-free zones in order to assure the total absence of nuclear weapons in the respective territories as envisaged in article VII of the Treaty.

The inherent right of any group of States to conclude regional arrangements with a view to eliminating nuclear weapons in their respective territories was one of the fundamental principles guiding the drafting process of the Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons, and was later incorporated in article VII of the Treaty.

8. The Group of Non-Aligned States Parties to the Treaty stresses the importance of the ratification by the nuclear-weapon States of the relevant protocols to the treaties of Pelindaba, Rarotonga, Semipalatinsk and Bangkok in order to ensure the total absence of nuclear weapons in the territories of the States parties to those treaties, as envisaged in article VII of the Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons.
٨ - وتشدد المجموعة على أهمية أن تصدق الدول الحائزة للأسلحة النووية على البروتوكولات ذات الصلة الملحقة بمعاهدات بيليندابا وراروتونغا وسيميبالاتينسك وبانكوك، وذلك من أجل كفالة عدم وجود أي أسلحة نووية في أراضي الدول الأطراف في تلك المعاهدات، على النحو المطلوب في المادة السابعة من معاهدة عدم انتشار الأسلحة النووية.

In order to achieve the goal of the establishment of a nuclear-weapon-free zone in the important region of the Middle East and the realization of the goals and objectives of the 1995 resolution on the Middle East that were supported in the Final Document of the 2000 Review Conference and generally referred to in article VII of the Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons (NPT), the Islamic Republic of Iran reports the following.
1 - سعيا إلى بلوغ الهدف المتمثل في إنشاء منطقة خالية من الأسلحة النووية في منطقة الشرق الأوسط ذات الأهمية وتحقيق غايات وأهداف قرار عام 1995 المتعلق بالشرق الأوسط التي أيدتها الوثيقة الختامية لمؤتمر الاستعراض لعام 2000 والمشار إليها بشكل عام في المادة السابعة من معاهدة عدم انتشار الأسلحة النووية، تفيد جمهورية إيران الإسلامية بما يلي.

19. in article VII of the Convention on the Prohibition of the Development, Production and Stockpiling of Bacteriological (Biological) and Toxin Weapons and on their Destruction (BWC), States Parties commit to provide each other with assistance in the event that they have been " exposed to danger " as a result of a violation of the Convention.
19- تتعهد الدول الأطراف، بموجب المادة السابعة من اتفاقية حظر استحداث وإنتاج وتكديس الأسلحة البكتريولوجية (البيولوجية) والتكسينية وتدمير تلك الأسلحة، بتقديم المساعدة لبعضها البعض في حال " تعرضها للخطر " نتيجة انتهاك الاتفاقية.
