On 14 March 2012, during the sixth World Water Forum, the council convened a high-level panel on the subject of the right to water and sanitation in collaboration with the Special Rapporteur on the human right to safe drinking water and sanitation.

In its resolution 21/12, the Human Rights Council requested OHCHR, in collaboration with the Special Rapporteur on the promotion and protection of the right and freedom of opinion and expression, to prepare a compilation of good practices in the protection of journalists, the prevention of attacks and the fight against impunity for attacks committed against journalists.

(b) UNESCO should continue to investigate indigenous pedagogy and its application to indigenous education in collaboration with the Special Rapporteur on the human rights and fundamental freedoms of indigenous peoples and the Forum and other relevant bodies.

In its decision 2/106, the Council invited the Office of the High Commissioner, in collaboration with the Special Rapporteur on contemporary forms of racism, racial discrimination, xenophobia and related intolerance, to continue to analyse further the issue of incitement and promotion of racism, racial discrimination, xenophobia and related intolerance in the politic debate (see also paragraph 12 (i) above).

58. Taking into account the ongoing changes in the human rights machinery, the Board recommended revising OHCHR fact sheet No. 14 on " Contemporary Forms of Slavery " , in collaboration with the Special Rapporteur, in order to include a reference to the activities of the Fund and to the new mandate of the Special Rapporteur.
