At its 6th and 7th meetings, on 23 and 24 April 2008, the Preparatory Committee continued its consideration of agenda item 6, with a focus on objective 2 of the Durban Review Conference (to assess the effectiveness of the existing Durban followup mechanisms and other relevant United Nations mechanisms in order to enhance them).
