In this connection, we reiterate our grave concern regarding the plight of hunger-striking prisoners, among them Samer Issawi, whose life is in imminent danger, as well as Ayman Sharawna, Tareq Qedan and Jafar Ezzedine, who have been on long-term hunger strikes in protest of their captivity by Israel and whose plight we underscored in our letter of 24 January 2013.
وفي هذا الصدد، نكرِّر الإعراب عن قلقنا البالغ إزاء محنة السجناء المضربين عن الطعام، ومن بينهم سامر العيساوي الذي باتت حياته معرضة لخطر وشيك، وكذلك أيمن الشراونة وطارق قعدان وجعفر عز الدين الذين يخوضون إضراباً طويل الأمد عن الطعام احتجاجاً على احتجازهم من قبل إسرائيل والذين شدَّدنا على معاناتهم في رسالتنا المؤرخة 24 كانون الثاني/يناير 2013.

As mentioned in our letter of 4 January to the Security Council, the adviser to Ethiopia's Prime Minister and a senior member of the ruling Political Bureau openly announced in the Awasa Conference that " Ethiopia welcomes the timely convening of the conference to formulate new strategies to topple the Eritrean government " and that " Ethiopia will provide them with all the support they need to achieve the goals of [their] struggle " .

It must be noted that this condemnable, illegal action has been instigated by the Deputy Speaker of the Israeli Knesset, Moshe Feiglin, a member of the party of the Prime Minister, who recently entered Al-Haram Al-Sharif under Israeli military escort and made provocative declarations regarding Al-Aqsa Mosque, a serious matter to which we drew attention in our letter of 20 February 2014 (A/ES-10/616-S/2014/118).
ولا بد من الإشارة إلى أن من حرض على هذا العمل المدان وغير المشروع هو نائب رئيس الكنيست الإسرائيلي موشي فيغلين، العضو في حزب رئيس الوزراء، والذي دخل مؤخرا الحرم الشريف تحت حراسة عسكرية إسرائيلية وأدلى بتصريحات استفزازية بشأن المسجد الأقصى، وتلك مسألة خطيرة قد وجهنا الانتباه لها في رسالتنا المؤرخة 20 شباط/فبراير 2014 (A/ES-10/616-S/2014/118).

At that meeting, it was suggested by the Office of Legal Affairs that the cosponsors of proposals entitled " A proactive role for the United Nations in maintaining peace and security in East Asia " (A/61/193) and " Question of the representation and participation of the 23 million people of Taiwan in the United Nations " (A/61/194) had failed to raise points of order to protest the errors we asserted in our letter of 3 October.
