2. Reaffirms that capacity-building in science and technology in developing countries should remain a priority issue in the United Nations agenda, and urges that international cooperation efforts be intensified and strengthened towards developing countries' endogenous capacity-building in science and technology, including their capacity to utilize scientific and technological developments from abroad and to adapt them to suit local conditions;
٢ - تعيد تأكيد أن بناء القدرات في مجال العلم والتكنولوجيا في البلدان النامية ينبغي أن يظل مسألة ذات أولوية في جدول أعمال اﻷمم المتحدة، وتحث على مضاعفة جهود التعاون الدولي وتعزيزها تجاه بناء القدرات الذاتية للبلدان النامية في مجـال العلم والتكنولوجيـا، بما في ذلك القدرة على الاستفادة بالتطورات العلمية والتكنولوجيـة اﻵتية مـن الخارج وتكييفها بحيث تلائم الظروف المحلية؛
