These repeated acts of piracy by United States naval forces stationed in the Arabian Gulf region are in violation of international law and custom, and they pose a serious threat to international peace and security.
إن أعمال القرصنة المتكررة هذه التي تقوم بها القوات البحرية الأمريكية المتواجدة في منطقة الخليج العربي تمثل انتهاكا للقوانين والأعراف الدولية وتشكل تهديدا خطيرا للسلم والأمن الدوليين.

My Government takes this opportunity to reaffirm the commitment of the United Arab Emirates to security and stability in the Arabian Gulf region and its readiness to abide by the provisions of the Charter of the United Nations and the principles of international law.
وتنتهز حكومتي هذه المناسبة لتؤكد من جديد حرص دولة اﻹمارات العربية المتحدة على اﻷمن والاستقرار في منطقة الخليج العربي والتزامها بأحكام ميثاق اﻷمم المتحدة ومبادئ القانون الدولي.

The promotion of security and stability in the Arabian Gulf region and the endeavour to resolve disputes between States and eliminate the causes of tension by peaceful means are among the priority concerns of my country.
إن ترسيخ اﻷمن والاستقرار في منطقة الخليج العربي والعمل بالوسائل السلمية على حل النزاعات بين الدول وإزالة أسباب التوتر هي من أولويات اهتمامات بلادي.

Iraq, for its part, reaffirms its right to seek compensation in accordance with the principle of international liability for the damage sustained by it and by its people as a result of the criminal acts being committed against vessels in the Arabian Gulf region by the above-mentioned occupation forces.
ويؤكد العراق حقه بالتعويض عن الأضرار التي تصيبه أو تصيب مواطنيه جراء هذه الأعمال الإجرامية التي تقوم بها هذه القوات الغازية في منطقة الخليج العربي ضد السفن والبواخر طبقا لمبدأ المسؤولية الدولية.

I should like to draw your attention to the continuing military preparations being made by the United States of America in the Arabian Gulf region. These include the stockpiling of various types of matériel and weapons, even internationally prohibited weapons, with a view to carrying out wide-ranging acts of aggression against Iraq. This constitutes a serious threat to peace in the region and to international peace and security.
أود أن ألفت أنظار سعادتكم إلى استمرار الاستعدادات العسكرية التي تقوم بها الولايات المتحدة اﻷمريكية في منطقة الخليج العربي والمتمثلة في تكديس أنواع مختلفة من المعدات واﻷسلحة حتى المحرمة دوليا منها، للتهيئة لعمل عدواني واسع النطاق ضد العراق وبما يشكل تهديدا خطيرا للسلم في المنطقة ويهدد السلم واﻷمن الدوليين.
