5. The decision adopted in Rome on 14 February 1997 by the Arbitral Tribunal for the dispute over the inter-entity boundary in the Brcko area was conveyed to the Security Council in the High Representative’s communication of the same date (S/1997/126).
٥ - وفي الرسالة المؤرخة ١٤ شباط/فبراير ١٩٩٧ (S/1997/126)، أبلغ الممثل السامي مجلس اﻷمن بالقرار الذي اعتمدته في ذات التاريخ هيئة التحكيم في روما بشأن النزاع حول الحدود المشتركة في منطقة برتشكو.

5. In the days preceding the 14 February 1997 announcement of the award of the Arbitral Tribunal established under annex 2 of the General Framework Agreement for Peace in Bosnia and Herzegovina, tensions rose in the Brcko area.

6. Subsequently, UNMIBH has been attributed further responsibilities pursuant to Security Council resolutions 1103 (1997) of 31 March 1997 and 1107 (1997) of 16 May 1997, in connection with a decision of the Arbitral Tribunal for the dispute over the entity boundary in the Brcko area and the conclusions of the Peace Implementation Conference.
٦ - وفيما بعد، اسندت إلى البعثة مسؤوليات إضافية عملا بقراري مجلس اﻷمن ١١٠٣ )١٩٩٧( المؤرخ ٣١ آذار/ مارس ١٩٩٧، و ١١٠٧ )١٩٩٧( المؤرخ ١٦ أيار/مايو ١٩٩٧، فيما يتعلق بالقرار الذي أصدرته هيئة التحكيم بشأن النزاع على الحدود المشتركة بين الكيانين في منطقة برتشكو واستنتاجات مؤتمر تنفيذ السلام.

Noting the decision of 14 February 1997 by the arbitral tribunal on the disputed portion of the Inter-Entity Boundary Line in the Brcko area (S/1997/126), and noting the holding of the Brcko Implementation Conference in Vienna on 7 March 1997,
وإذ يحيط علما بالقرار المؤرخ ١٤ شباط/فبراير ١٩٩٧ الذي أصدرته هيئة التحكيم بشأن الجزء المتنازع عليه من خط الحدود المشترك بين الكيانين في منطقة برتشكو (S/1997/126)، وإذ يلاحظ أن مؤتمر برتشكو التنفيذي قد عقد في فيينا في ٧ آذار/مارس ١٩٩٧،

The parties, that is the Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Republika Srpska, having failed to reach agreement during negotiations in Dayton on the allocation of entity control in the Brcko area, agreed to binding arbitration of the disputed portion of the inter-entity boundary line in the Brcko area, as provided under article V of annex 2, entitled “Arbitration for the Brcko area”.
ومع إخفاق اﻷطراف، وهي جمهورية البوسنة والهرسك واتحاد البوسنة والهرسك وجمهورية سربسكا، في التوصل الى اتفاق أثناء محادثات دايتون بشأن تعيين الكيان المسيطر على منطقة برتشكو، فقد اتفقت على اخضاع الجزء المتنازع عليه من خط الحدود المشتركة بين الكيانات في منطقة برتشكو الى التحكيم الملزم، على النحو الذي نصت عليه المادة الخامسة من المرفق الثاني المعنون " التحكيم بشأن منطقة برتشكو " .

83. The Peace Agreement relates the binding arbitration to " the disputed portion of the Inter-Entity Boundary Line in the Brcko area indicated on the map attached at the Appendix " .
٨٣ - واتفاق السلام يربط التحكيم الملزم ﺑ " الجزء المتنازع عليه من خط الحدود فيما بين الكيانين في منطقة بركو المشار إليها في الخريطة المرفقة بالتذييل " .
