٥٥ - تتعاون الدول من أجل تعزيز مقدرة البلدان النامية على حفظ وإدارة وتنمية مصائد اﻷسماك الوطنية الخاصة بها، بالنسبة لﻷرصدة السمكية المتداخلة المناطق، واﻷرصدة السمكية الكثيرة الارتحال في المنطقة الاقتصادية الخالصة وفي أعالي البحار.

This compromise is reflected through the articles on tacit or implied consent and the right of the coastal State to withhold consent under specified conditions or to require the suspension or cessation of the research in progress in the exclusive economic zone and the continental shelf if the research does not comply with the information or the obligations required.
وهذا الحل ينعكس من خلال المواد المتعلقة بالموافقة الضمنية وحق الدولة الساحلية في حجب موافقتها في ظل أوضاع معينة أو أن تشترط تعليق أو وقف البحث الجاري في المنطقة الاقتصادية الخالصة والجرف القاري إذا كان البحث لا يمتثل للمعلومات أو الالتزامات المطلوبة.

2. Articles 60 and 80 of UNCLOS deal respectively in a similar way with artificial islands, installations and structures in the exclusive economic zone and the continental shelf.
٢ - وتتناول المادتان ٦٠ و ٨٠ من اتفاقية اﻷمم المتحدة لقانون البحار على التوالي بطريقة مماثلة الجزر الاصطناعية والمنشآت والتركيبات في المنطقة الاقتصادية الخالصة والجرف القاري.

٥٤ - تتعاون الدول من أجل تعزيز مقدرة الدول النامية على حفظ وإدارة وتنمية مصائد اﻷسماك الوطنية الخاصة بها، بالنسبة لﻷرصدة السمكية المتداخلة المناطق، واﻷرصدة السمكية الكثيرة الارتحال في المنطقة الاقتصادية الخالصة وفي أعالي البحار.

Obligation of the flag State conducting marine scientific research activities in the exclusive economic zone and on the continental shelf not to unjustifiably interfere with activities undertaken by the coastal State in the exercise of its sovereign rights and jurisdiction provided for in the Convention.
تلتزم دولة العلم بأن لا تتعرض أنشطة البحث العلمي البحري في المنطقة الاقتصادية الخالصة وعلى الجرف القاري بطريقة لا يمكن تبريرها للأنشطة التي تقوم بها الدولة الساحلية في ممارستها لحقوقها السيادية ولولايتها المنصوص عليها في هذه الاتفاقية.

تهدي وزارة خارجية جمهورية فييت نام الاشتراكية تحياتها إلى وزارة خارجية جمهورية الصين الشعبية، وبالإشارة إلى قيام الصين بتشغيل المنصة النفطية هايانغ شيو 981 بشكل غير قانوني في المنطقة الاقتصادية الخالصة والجرف القاري لفييت نام، يشرفها أن تبلغ وزارة خارجية جمهورية الصين الشعبية بما يلي:

347. The legal regime governing the construction, operation, use of offshore installations and structures and prevention of pollution therefrom in the exclusive economic zone and on the continental shelf, as well as the regime governing their removal and disposal, is provided for in articles 60, 80, 208, 210, 214 and 216 of UNCLOS.
٣٤٧ - وورد النظام القانوني الذي يحكم بناء وتشغيل واستخدام المنشآت والتركيبات البحرية ويمنع التلوث الناتج عنها في المنطقة الاقتصادية الخالصة والجرف القاري، فضلا عن النظام الذي يحكم إزالتها والتخلص منها، في المواد ٦٠ و ٨٠ و ٢٠٨ و ٢١٠ و ٢١٤ و ٢١٦ من اتفاقية اﻷمم المتحدة لقانون البحار.

In this regard, the United States believes that there are still substantial issues on which there must be consensus before a draft convention can be considered for adoption, in particular the extent of coastal-State jurisdiction over underwater cultural heritage in the exclusive economic zone and on the continental shelf seaward of 24 nautical miles, and the treatment of vessels and aircraft entitled to sovereign immunity.
وترى الولايات المتحدة في هذا الصدد أنه لا تزال هناك قضايا جوهرية لا بد من توافق اﻵراء عليها قبل النظر في اعتماد مشروع اتفاقية، وخاصة نطــاق ولاية الدول الساحلية على التراث الثقافي الموجود تحت الماء في المناطق الاقتصادية الخالصة وفي المنطقة البحرية من الجرف القاري المحددة بمسافة ٢٤ ميلا بحريا، ومعاملة السفن والطائرات التي تتمتع بحصانة سيادية.
