١٢٥ - أعربت النمسا عن تأييدها للاقتراح المتعلق بإمكانية عقد مؤتمر لﻷمم المتحدة بشأن القانون الدولي العام، وذلك باعتباره مساهمة مفيدة في الاحتفال بالذكرى الخمسين ﻹنشاء اﻷمم المتحدة، وقالت إنها تحبذ معالجة هذا الموضوع في إطار اللجنة السادسة.

At its forty-seventh session, the General Assembly took note of the report of the Working Group established under its resolution 46/55 (A/C.6/47/L.10) and decided to re-establish the Working Group at its forty-eighth session in the framework of the Sixth Committee, to continue its work (decision 47/414).

Thus, suggestions were made that the issue should be discussed at the next session of the General Assembly in the framework of the Sixth Committee and that the sponsor delegation should submit its proposal for its consideration by the Sixth Committee of the Assembly.

His delegation therefore supported the proposal that consideration of substantive issues on which agreement had not yet been reached should continue, and that consultations should be held in the framework of the Sixth Committee at the beginning of its forty-ninth session, in order to settle the residual differences which had so far prevented a date from being set for the convening of a diplomatic conference to conclude a convention.

6. The CHAIRMAN, referring to the calendar of meetings for the week of 26 to 30 September, drew attention to General Assembly decision 48/413 concerning the question of the Convention on Jurisdictional Immunities of States and their Property in which the General Assembly had decided that consultations should be held in the framework of the Sixth Committee during one week at the beginning of its forty-ninth session.
٦ - الرئيس: أشار إلى الجدول الزمني للجلسات المقررة لﻷسبوع من ٦٢ إلى ٠٣ أيلول/سبتمبر فوجه انتباه الوفود إلى مقرر الجمعية العامة ٨٤/٣١٤ بشأن مسألة اتفاقية حصانات الدول وممتلكاتها القضائية، الذي قررت فيه الجمعية العامة أن تجري مشاورات في إطار اللجنة السادسة خلال أسبوع واحد في مستهل دورتها التاسعة واﻷربعين.
