2 - تعرب عن تأييدها للعمل الذي يقوم به الممثل الخاص، في إنجاز الولاية المنوطة به حسبما حددت في الفقرات 35 إلى 37 من قرار الجمعية العامة 51/77 المؤرخ 17 كانون الأول/ديسمبر 1996، وخصوصا في إذكاء الوعي العالمي وتعبئة الرأي الرسمي والرأي العام لحماية الأطفال المتضررين من الصراعات المسلحة، من أجل تعزيز الاحترام لحقوق الأطفال واحتياجاتهم في حالات الصراع وما بعد الصراع؛
