33. Identify the following achievements, challenges and priorities for further action in the implementation of the Political Declaration and Plan of Action:
33- نَستَبين الإنجازات والتحدِّيات وأولويات العمل المقبل التالية في تنفيذ الإعلان السياسي وخطة العمل:

It can act as the main vehicle for reporting on progress in the implementation of the Political Declaration to the General Assembly and ensure that non-communicable diseases are discussed in the context of economic and social development;
ويمكن أن تكون اللجنة هي الوسيلة الرئيسية لإعداد التقارير عن التقدم المحرز في تنفيذ الإعلان السياسي إلى الجمعية العامة، وكفالة أن تناقَش الأمراض غير المعدية في سياق التنمية الاقتصادية والاجتماعية؛

In the same resolution, the Commission encouraged Member States to hold substantive discussions on the issue and to actively participate in the above-mentioned agenda item, and requested the meetings of the subsidiary bodies of the Commission, on the basis of their deliberations, to submit regional recommendations aimed at positively moving forward in the implementation of the Political Declaration and Plan of Action.
وفي القرار نفسه، شجَّعت اللجنةُ الدولَ الأعضاءَ على إجراء مناقشات فنية بشأن هذه المسألة، والمشاركة بنشاط في بند جدول الأعمال المذكور أعلاه، وطلبت من اجتماعات الهيئات الفرعية التابعة للجنة أن تقدِّم، استناداً إلى مداولاتها، توصيات إقليمية تهدف إلى المضي قُدماً في تنفيذ الإعلان السياسي وخطة العمل.

Considering General Assembly resolution 67/193 of 20 December 2012, in which the Assembly decided to convene a special session in 2016 to assess progress in the implementation of the Political Declaration and the Plan of Action,
وإذ تُراعي قرارَ الجمعية العامة 67/193 المؤرَّخ 20 كانون الأول/ديسمبر 2012، الذي قرَّرت فيه الجمعية عقد دورة استثنائية في عام 2016 لتقييم التقدم المحرز في تنفيذ الإعلان السياسي وخطة العمل،

7. Requests the meetings of the subsidiary bodies of the Commission, on the basis of their deliberations, to submit regional recommendations aimed at moving forward in the implementation of the Political Declaration and Plan of Action;
7- تطلب إلى اجتماعات الهيئات الفرعية التابعة للجنة أن تقدِّم، استناداً إلى مداولاتها، توصيات إقليمية تستهدف المضي قُدماً في تنفيذ الإعلان السياسي وخطة العمل؛

The Commission further decided that intersessional meetings would be held before the high-level review, within existing regular budget resources, devoted to preparing for the high-level review and to assessing the progress made in the implementation of the Political Declaration and Plan of Action.
وقررت اللجنة كذلك أن تعقد اجتماعات في ما بين الدورات قبل الاستعراض الرفيع المستوى، في إطار الموارد الحالية للميزانية العادية، وأن تكرسها للإعداد للاستعراض الرفيع المستوى وتقييم التقدم المحرز في تنفيذ الإعلان السياسي وخطة العمل.

4. Preparations for the high-level review of progress made in the implementation of the Political Declaration and Plan of Action on International Cooperation towards an Integrated and Balanced Strategy to Counter the World Drug Problem

87. In March 2014, the Commission on Narcotic Drugs evaluated progress in the implementation of the Political Declaration and Plan of Action on International Cooperation towards an Integrated and Balanced Strategy to Counter the World Drug Problem.
٨٧ - وفي آذار/مارس 2014، أجرت لجنة المخدرات تقييما للتقدم المحرز في تنفيذ الإعلان السياسي وخطة العمل بشأن التعاون الدولي لوضع استراتيجية متكاملة ومتوازنة للتصدي لمشكلة المخدرات العالمية.

6. In its resolution 67/193 of 20 December 2012, the General Assembly decided to convene, in early 2016, a special session on the world drug problem to review the progress made in the implementation of the Political Declaration and Plan of Action on International Cooperation towards an Integrated and Balanced Strategy to Counter the World Drug Problem.
6- وينص قرار الجمعية العامة 67/193، المؤرَّخ 20 كانون الأول/ديسمبر 2012، على أن تُعقد في أوائل عام 2016 دورة استثنائية بشأن مشكلة المخدِّرات العالمية لاستعراض التقدم المحرز في تنفيذ الإعلان السياسي وخطة العمل بشأن التعاون الدولي صوب استراتيجية متكاملة ومتوازنة لمواجهة مشكلة المخدِّرات العالمية.

6. Decides that intersessional meetings shall be held before the high-level review, within existing regular budget resources, devoted to preparing for the high-level review and to assessing the progress made in the implementation of the Political Declaration and Plan of Action;
6- تقرِّر أن تُعقد اجتماعات فيما بين الدورتين قبل الاستعراض الرفيع المستوى ضمن حدود الموارد المتاحة من الميزانية العادية، تخصَّص للتحضير للاستعراض الرفيع المستوى ولتقييم التقدُّم المحرز في تنفيذ الإعلان السياسي وخطة العمل؛

resolutions 56/10 and 56/12, the participants of the meetings agreed to submit the recommendations -- which had been made on the basis of the deliberations of their respective working groups -- to the Commission at its fifty-seventh session as regional recommendations aimed at moving forward in the implementation of the Political Declaration and Plan of Action.
بمقرَّري لجنة المخدِّرات 56/10 و56/12، اتَّفق المشاركون في الاجتماعات على تقديم التوصيات - التي أُعدَّت استناداً إلى مداولات أفرقتهم العاملة - إلى اللجنة في دورتها السابعة والخمسين، باعتبارها توصيات إقليمية رامية إلى المضي قُدماً في تنفيذ الإعلان السياسي وخطة العمل.

وإذ تشير أيضا إلى أنها قررت، في القرار المشار إليه أعلاه، أن تجري الدورة الاستثنائية للجمعية العامة استعراضا للتقدم المحرز في تنفيذ الإعلان السياسي وخطة العمل، يشمل تقييما للإنجازات المحققة والتحديات التي ما زالت ماثلة في مجال مكافحة مشكلة المخدرات العالمية، في إطار الاتفاقيات الدولية الثلاث لمكافحة المخدرات وسائر صكوك الأمم المتحدة ذات الصلة،

32. I welcome the outcome of the Praia ministerial conference and encourage the countries of the subregion to engage resolutely in the implementation of the Political Declaration and Regional Action Plan that they adopted, with the support of UNOWA, the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime and the United Nations system as a whole.
32 - وإنني أرحب بنتائج مؤتمر برايا الوزاري وأشجع بلدان المنطقة دون الإقليمية على المشاركة بعزم في تنفيذ الإعلان السياسي وخطة العمل الإقليمية اللذين اعتمدتهما، وذلك بدعم من مكتب الأمم المتحدة لغرب أفريقيا ومكتب الأمم المتحدة المعني بالمخدرات والجريمة ومنظومة الأمم المتحدة ككل.
