She hoped that favourable consideration would be given to the recommendation by the Board for the approval of additional posts in the Investments Committee and the conversion of temporary posts to established posts, since such a move would enable the Committee to function more efficiently and cope with future challenges.

The Chair drew the Committee's attention to document A/67/103, in which the Secretary-General referred to article 20 of the Regulations of the United Nations Joint Staff Pension Fund and invited the Committee to confirm the appointment of the two persons whom he had designated to fill vacancies that would arise in the Investments Committee on 31 December 2012.
