It noted with concern that some Governments had never provided substantive replies concerning enforced disappearances alleged to have occurred in their countries, and deplored the fact that some Governments had not acted on the relevant recommendations made in the reports of the Working Group.

The following list includes proposals received by the Office of the High Commisisoner for Human Rights (OHCHR) and those recorded in the reports of the Working Group on Indigenous Populations (WGIP) from 1997-2002, as well as a proposal made by the members of the Permanent Forum on Indigenous Issues at its first session in 2002:

The list contained in the present document includes the proposals recorded in the reports of the Working Group at its fifteenth to twentieth sessions (1997-2002), as well as those received directly by the Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights.
