Decides to adopt the modalities set out in the annex to the present resolution for the participation of the representatives of the European Union, in its capacity as observer, in the sessions and work of the General Assembly and its committees and working groups, in international meetings and conferences convened under the auspices of the Assembly and in United Nations conferences;
2 - تقرر أن تعتمد طرائق مشاركة ممثلي الاتحاد الأوروبي، بصفته مراقبا، في دورات وأعمال الجمعية العامة ولجانها وأفرقتها العاملة وفي الاجتماعات والمؤتمرات الدولية المعقودة تحت رعاية الجمعية العامة وفي المؤتمرات التي تعقدها الأمم المتحدة، على النحو المبين في مرفق هذا القرار؛

We supported the resolution before us, which provides a more detailed description of the additional rights and privileges conferred on Palestine, in its capacity as observer, with regard to its participation in the sessions and work of the General Assembly than was provided by draft resolution A/52/L.53, which was submitted to the General Assembly in December 1997.
ونحن نؤيد القرار المعروض علينا الذي ينص على حقوق وامتيازات إضافية لفلسطين، بما لها من صفة المراقب، فيما يتعلق بمشاركتها في دورات وعمل الجمعية العامة، أكثر من تلك التي نص عليها مشروع القرار A/52/L.53 الذي قدم الى الجمعية العامة في كانون اﻷول/ ديسمبر ١٩٩٧.
