The States that participated in UNISPACE III resolved to strengthen cooperation to help meet those challenges and to maximize opportunities for human development through the use of space science and technology and their applications.
وقد عقدت الدول المشاركة في اليونيسبيس الثالث العزم على تعزيز التعاون للمساعدة على مواجهة تلك التحديات وعلى زيادة فرص تحقيق التنمية البشرية إلى أقصى حد عبر استخدام علوم وتكنولوجيا الفضاء وتطبيقاتهما.

In the Vienna Declaration, the States participating in UNISPACE III called for action to be taken to improve the efficiency and security of transport, search and rescue, geodesy and other activities by promoting the enhancement of, universal access to and compatibility of space-based navigation and positioning systems.
وفي إعلان فيينا، دعت الدول المشاركة في اليونيسبيس الثالث إلى اتخاذ تدابير لتحسين كفاءة وأمن أنشطة النقل والبحث والإنقاذ والدراسات الجيوديسية وغيرها من الأنشطة عن طريق الترويج لتعزيز النظم الفضائية الخاصة بالملاحة وتحديد المواقع وإتاحة سبل الاستفادة منها للجميع وزيادة التوافق بينها.

States participating in UNISPACE III adopted the Vienna Declaration as the nucleus of a strategy to address future global challenges using space applications.
واعتمدت الدول المشاركة في اليونيسبيس الثالث إعلان فيينا بوصفه نواة لوضع استراتيجية للتصدي للتحديات العالمية في المستقبل بالاستعانة بالتطبيقات الفضائية.

He hoped that all Member States would participate actively in UNISPACE III in a spirit of partnership and collaborative endeavour in order to ensure the use of space technology for the common good of humankind.
واختتم بيانه باﻹعراب عن اﻷمل في أن تشارك جميع الدول اﻷعضاء مشاركة إيجابية في مؤتمر الفضاء الثالث بروح من الشراكة والمسعى التعاوني من أجل ضمان استعمال تكنولوجيا الفضاء لصالح البشرية العام.

ولاحظ الفريق العامل أن مؤتمرات بوغواش المعنية بالعلم والشؤون العالمية واللجنة اﻷوروبية لعلوم الفضاء ، التابعة لمؤسسة العلوم اﻷوروبية ، قد أبدت اهتمامها بالمشاركة في اليونيسبيس الثالث ، واتفق على أنه ينبغي دعوتها لحضور المؤتمر .

Several United Nations organizations and agencies, which were partners in the Integrated Global Observing Strategy (IGOS), participated in UNISPACE III. The IGOS Partnership provides an overarching strategy for Earth observation and global monitoring, enhances scientific understanding at the national, regional and international levels, and assists user groups and decision makers, in particular those from developing countries.
شاركت في اليونيسبيس الثالث عدة منظمات ووكالات تابعة للأمم المتحدة شريكة في استراتيجية الرصد العالمية المتكاملة. وتتيح الشراكة في استراتيجية الرصد العالمية المتكاملة استراتيجية واسعة النطاق لرصد الأرض وللرصد العالمي وتعمق الإدراك العلمي على المستويات الوطنية والإقليمية وتساعد مجموعات المستخدمين وصانعي القرارات، ولا سيما من البلدان النامية.

The States participating in UNISPACE III unanimously adopted a resolution entitled " The Space Millennium: Vienna Declaration on Space and Human Development " , which contained the nucleus of a strategy to address global challenges in the future.
وقد اعتمدت بالإجماع الدول التي شاركت في اليونيسبيس الثالث قرارا عنوانه " الألفية الفضائية: إعلان فيينا بشأن الفضاء والتنمية البشرية " ،(1) الذي تضمّن نواة لاستراتيجية ترمي إلى مواجهة التحديات العالمية في المستقبل.

In particular, the States participating in UNISPACE III noted, in the Vienna Declaration, the benefits and applications of space technology in addressing the challenges to sustainable development, as well as the effectiveness of space instruments for dealing with the challenges posed by the depletion of natural resources, loss of biodiversity and the effects of natural and anthropogenic disasters.
ويُذكر، بصورة خاصة، أنَّ الدول المشاركة في اليونيسبيس الثالث لاحظت، في إعلان فيينا، فوائد تكنولوجيا الفضاء وتطبيقاتها فيما يتعلق بالتصدي للتحديات التي تواجه التنمية المستدامة، وكذلك فاعلية الأجهزة الفضائية في التصدي للتحديات التي يطرحها استنفاد الموارد الطبيعية وفقدان التنوع البيولوجي وآثار الكوارث الطبيعية والكوارث التي يسبّبها الإنسان.

22. The Working Group had also discussed the issue of participation of the greatest possible number of developing countries in UNISPACE III. In the view of the Working Group, that issue should be brought to the attention of the Preparatory Committee.
٢٢ - ومضى يقول إن الفريق العامل قد ناقش أيضا مسألة اشتراك أكبر عدد ممكن من البلدان النامية في مؤتمر الفضاء الثالث. وينبغي، في رأي الفريق العامل، توجيه انتباه اللجنة التحضيرية إلى هذه المسألة.
