21. Under no circumstances should human remains or any other sacred elements of an indigenous peoples' heritage be publicly displayed, except in a manner deemed appropriate by the peoples concerned.
21- لا ينبغي في أي حال من الأحوال عرض رفاة بشري أو أية عناصر أخرى مقدسة من تراث الشعوب الأصلية على الملأ، إلا على النحو الذي تراه الشعوب المعنية مناسبا.

29. Researchers and scholarly institutions should decline any offers for the donation or sale of elements of indigenous peoples' heritage, without first contacting the peoples or communities directly concerned and ascertaining the wishes of the traditional owners.
29- ينبغي للباحثين والمؤسسات الدراسية رفض أية عروض للتبرع بعناصر من تراث الشعوب الأصلية أو لبيعها، ما لم يُجروا أولا إتصالات مع الشعوب أو المجتمعات المعنية مباشرة ويتيقنوا من رغبات الملاك التقليديين.

40. All forms of tourism based on indigenous peoples' heritage must be restricted to activities which have the formal approval of the peoples and communities concerned, and which are conducted under their supervision and control.
40- يجب أن تكون جميع أشكال السياحة التي تعتمد على تراث الشعوب الأصلية مقتصرة على الأنشطة التي تحظى بموافقة رسمية من الشعوب والمجتمعات المعنية، والتي تجري بإشرافها ورقابتها.

46. The media should actively assist indigenous peoples in exposing any activities, public or private, which destroy or degrade indigenous peoples' heritage.
46- ينبغي لوسائط الإعلام أن تساعد الشعوب الأصلية مساعدة نشطة على فضح أية أنشطة، عامة أو خاصة، تتوخى تدمير تراث الشعوب الأصلية أو الحط منه.

47. Governments must ensure that school curricula and textbooks teach understanding and respect for indigenous peoples' heritage and history and recognize the contribution of indigenous peoples to creativity and cultural diversity.
47- يجب على الحكومات أن تعمل على جعل المناهج والكتب الدراسية تدرس تراث الشعوب الأصلية وتاريخها واحترامهما، وعلى جعلها تعترف بإسهام الشعوب الأصلية في الإبداع والتنوع الثقافي.

18. The draft principles and guidelines underscore the importance of protecting indigenous peoples' heritage based on the principle of self-determination, a view also repeatedly expressed by indigenous representatives.
18- ويبرز مشروع المبادئ والمبادئ التوجيهية أهمية حماية تراث الشعوب الأصلية على أساس مبدأ تقرير المصير، وهذا رأي يعبر عنه مراراً كذلك ممثلو الشعوب الأصلية.

Given the insufficient international protection of indigenous peoples' heritage, the Working Group may rush to revisit the draft principles and guidelines on the heritage of indigenous peoples as they include most of the elements necessary for adequate protection of this heritage and constitute a sound starting point for developing a new international instrument.
