30. Requests the Secretary-General to report to the Committee on Information at its nineteenth session and to the General Assembly at its fifty-second session on the activities of the Department of Public Information and on the implementation of the recommendations contained in the present resolution;
٣٠ - تطلب إلى اﻷمين العام أن يقدم تقريرا إلى لجنة اﻹعلام في دورتها التاسعة عشرة وإلى الجمعية العامة في دورتها الثانية والخمسين عن أنشطة إدارة شؤون اﻹعلام وعن تنفيذ التوصيات الواردة في هذا القرار؛

3. As requested by the General Assembly, the present report provides an overview of the status of the integration exercise since the last report on this subject was prepared for consideration by the Committee on Information at its nineteenth session in 1997 (A/AC.198/1997/5).
٣ - ويوفر هذا التقرير، كما طلبت ذلك الجمعية العامة، استعراضا عاما لحالة عملية اﻹدماج المستجدة منذ أن تم إعداد التقرير اﻷخير عن هذا الموضوع لتنظر فيه لجنة اﻹعلام في دورتها التاسعة عشرة المعقودة في عام ١٩٩٧ )A/AC.198/1997/5(.

7. The report of the Secretary-General on the evaluation of the United Nations information centres,1 submitted to the Committee on Information at its nineteenth session in 1997, confirmed the role of United Nations information centres as local focal points for information emanating from the United Nations system as a whole.
٧ - وأكد تقرير اﻷمين العام عن تقييم مراكز اﻷمم المتحدة لﻹعلام)١(، المقدم إلى لجنة اﻹعلام في دورتها التاسعة عشرة في عام ١٩٩٧، دور مراكز اﻷمم المتحدة لﻹعلام كمراكز تنسيق محلية للمعلومات الصادرة عن منظومة اﻷمم المتحدة ككل.

14. Takes note of the report of the Secretary-General on the review of publications produced by the Department of Public Information in the sphere of development, submitted to the Committee on Information at its nineteenth session,A/AC.198/1997/4. and requests him to renew his efforts better to meet the needs for wider dissemination of development-related information;
٤١ - تحيط علما بتقرير اﻷمين العام عن استعراض المنشورات التي تنتجها إدارة شؤون اﻹعلام في مجال التنمية، المقدم إلى لجنة اﻹعلام في دورتها التاسعة عشرة)٧(، وتطلب إليه أن يجدد جهوده لتحسين تلبية الحاجة إلى نشر المعلومات المتصلة بالتنمية؛

19. Also takes note of the report of the Secretary-General on the results of the trial integration of United Nations information centres with field offices of the United Nations Development Programme, submitted to the Committee on Information at its nineteenth session;A/AC.198/1997/5.
٩١ - تحيط علما أيضا بتقرير اﻷمين العام عن النتائــج الناجمــة عن تجربة دمج مراكز اﻷمم المتحدة لﻹعلام مع المكاتب الميدانية التابعة لبرنامج اﻷمم المتحدة اﻹنمائي، المقدم إلى لجنة اﻹعلام في دورتها التاسعة عشرة)١٠(؛

14. Takes note of the report of the Secretary-General on the evaluation of publications produced by the Department of Public Information in the sphere of development, submitted to the Committee on Information at its nineteenth session,11 and requests him to renew his efforts to better meet the needs for wider dissemination of development-related information;
