Concerning the sources which reported alleged cases of arbitrary detention to the Working Group, of the 125 individual cases submitted by the Working Group to Governments during 2002, 31 were based on information communicated by local or regional nongovernmental organizations (NGOs), 81 on information provided by international NGOs in consultative status with the Economic and Social Council and 13 by private sources.
