Most international work in this field has evolved around three major areas: (a) frameworks and specification of basic environment statistics, (b) environmental indicators and (c) environmental accounting.

١٤ - السيدة أريستانبيكوفا )كازاخستان(: قالت إن بلدها، الذي كان موقع إطلاق أول ساتل أرضي اصطناعي منذ ٤٠ سنة، شارك بنشاط، منذ أن أصبح عضوا في لجنة استخدام الفضاء الخارجي في اﻷغراض السلمية، في العمل الدولي في هذا المجال.

Given the importance of such developments, it is essential that Member States live up to their responsibilities by accepting the task of outlining overall directions for international work in the field of humanitarian and disaster relief assistance.
