UNOWA also attended the validation meeting in Yaoundé of the Interregional Coordination centre provided for in the memorandum of understanding among ECOWAS, the Economic Community of Central African States (ECCAS) and the Commission of the Gulf of Guinea on maritime safety and security adopted at the summit meeting held in Yaoundé in June 2013.
