(b) Institute prompt, impartial and thorough investigations into all allegations of torture or ill-treatment by prison staff;

(a) Strengthen its measures to ensure prompt, impartial and effective investigations into all allegations of torture and illtreatment committed by law enforcement officials.
(أ) تعزيز تدابيرها الرامية إلى إجراء تحقيقات عاجلة ونزيهة وفعالة في جميع الادعاءات بأعمال التعذيب والمعاملة السيئة التي يرتكبها الموظفون المكلفون بإنفاذ القوانين.

(a) Take effective measures to ensure prompt and impartial investigations into all allegations of torture and other cruel, inhuman or degrading treatment, the prosecution and punishment of the perpetrators, irrespective of their ethnic origin, and the provision of fair and adequate compensation for victims;
(أ) أن تتخذ تدابير فعالة لضمان إجراء تحقيقاتٍ عاجلة وحيادية في جميع الادعاءات بالتعذيب وغيره من ضروب المعاملة أو العقوبة القاسية أو اللاإنسانية أو المهينة، ومقاضاة ومعاقبة مرتكبي هذه الأفعال، أياً كان أصلهم الإثني، ومنح الضحايا تعويضاً منصفاً ووافياً؛

(a) Consider establishing a specifically dedicated, independent and effective complaints body and ensure prompt, impartial and full investigations into all allegations of torture and ill-treatment committed by public officials, and to prosecute and punish those responsible with penalties taking into account the grave nature of offences;
