The committee may nonetheless want to take into account the potential effects on the mercury instrument of entry into force of this Amendment.

For this reason, the Government requested the Knesset to postpone the entry into force of this Amendment to January 2002, in order to complete its reorganization.

2. Notes that the entry into force of this Amendment to the list in Annex II to the Convention shall be subject to the same procedure as that for the entry into force of annexes to the Convention in accordance with Article 16, paragraph 3, of the Convention;

Notes that in accordance with Article 16, paragraph 4, the entry into force of this Amendment to Annex I to the Convention shall be subject to the same procedure as that for the entry into force of annexes to the Convention provided for in Article 16, paragraph 3, of the Convention.
2- يلاحظ أنه وفقاً للفقرة 4 من المادة 16، يخضع بدء سريان هذا التعديل للمرفق الأول للاتفاقية لنفس الإجراء الخاص ببدء نفاذ مرفقات الاتفاقية المنصوص عليه في الفقرة 3 من المادة 16 من الاتفاقية.

3. After the entry into force of this Amendment, as provided under paragraph 1, it shall enter into force for any other Party to the Protocol on the ninetieth day following the date of deposit of its instrument of ratification, acceptance or approval.
3 - وبعد بدء نفاذ هذا التعديل كما نُصَ على ذلك بموجب الفقرة 1، يبدأ نفاذه بالنسبة لأي طرف آخر في البروتوكول في اليوم التسعين التالي لتاريخ إيداعه صك التصديق أو القبول أو الموافقة.

3. After the entry into force of this Amendment, as provided under paragraph 1, it shall enter into force for any other Party to the Protocol on the ninetieth day following the date of deposit of its instrument of ratification, acceptance or approval.

The entry into force of this Amendment shall not affect the issuance of certified emission reductions pursuant to Article 12 of the Kyoto Protocol for emission reductions achieved through projects hosted by Cyprus before 1 January 2013.
ولا يؤثر بدء نفاذ هذا التعديل على إصدار وحدات الخفض المعتمد بموجب المادة 12 من بروتوكول كيوتو مقابل خفض الانبعاثات الذي يتحقق بفضل مشاريع تستضيفها قبرص قبل 1 كانون الثاني/يناير 2013.
