The United Nations/Islamic Republic of Iran Regional Workshop on Use of Space Technology for Improving Human Health, which was hosted by the Iranian Space Agency on behalf of the Government of the Islamic Republic of Iran was held in Tehran from 23 to 26 October 2011 (A/AC.105/1021).

In that regard, the Iranian Space Agency (ISA) had held a workshop on space law in Tehran in May 2004 and hoped to organize a similar one in the near future with the cooperation of the United Nations Office of Outer Space Affairs.

59- ودَعَمت وكالة الفضاء الإيرانية إدارة المعارف في إطار برنامج سبايدر بأنشطة مختلفة، تراوح نطاقها من إعداد كتيِّب عنوانه " تأمُّلات بشأن استخدام المعلومات الفضائية استخداماً فعالاً في تقييم الجفاف على المستوى الوطني: تجربة جمهورية إيران الإسلامية " واستهلال بوابة جغرافية وطنية لأرشفة البيانات الجغرافية ومعالجتها.

The Iranian Space Agency was also involved in a number of workshops and seminars, such as the disaster management training course of the Asia-Pacific Space Cooperation Organization (APSCO) in Beijing in September 2012 and Space Week 2012, in order to illustrate best practices in the use of space technology for disaster management.
60- وشاركت وكالة الفضاء الإيرانية أيضاً في عدد من حلقات العمل والحلقات الدراسية، مثل الدورة التدريبية في مجال إدارة الكوارث التي نظَّمتها منظمة التعاون الفضائي لآسيا والمحيط الهادئ، في بيجين، في أيلول/سبتمبر 2012، وأسبوع الفضاء لعام 2012، من أجل إيضاح الممارسات الفضلى في استخدام تكنولوجيا الفضاء في إدارة الكوارث.

Representatives of the Iranian Space Agency, the Ministry of Communication and Information Technology of the Islamic Republic of Iran, the Research and Education Commission of the Iranian parliament, the Department of International and Legal Affairs of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, APSCO and the Office for Outer Space Affairs opened the Workshop with introductory and welcoming statements.
