14. In the light of its observations in paragraph 12 above, and subject to further updates to the General Assembly on the expenditure pattern, the Committee is of the view that the Secretary-General should make every effort to absorb the additional requirements, failing which any additional expenditures should be reflected in the relevant performance report.
