At the thirteenth session of the Commission on Science and Technology for Development (CSTD), held in May 2010, the Commission decided to examine " Technologies to address challenges in areas such as agriculture and water " as one of its priority themes during the 2010 - 2011 intersessional period.
2- وقررت اللجنة المعنية بتسخير العلم والتكنولوجيا لأغراض التنمية، في دورتها الثالثة عشرة المعقودة في أيار/مايو 2010، أن تنظر في التكنولوجيات الكفيلة بالتصدي للتحديات في مجالات مثل الزراعة والمياه، باعتبار ذلك من مواضيعها ذات الأولوية أثناء فترة ما بين الدورتين 2010-2011.

52. In considering its priority theme on national and international cooperation for social development, the Commission welcomed " the prominence given to the New Partnership for Africa's Development (NEPAD) in the report of the Secretary-General as an example of a partnership among Governments " , and " invited him to continue to reflect those dimensions in future reports to the Commission on its priority themes " .
