39. The Committee decided to devote its seminar in the European region to the theme " Palestinian trade and investment needs " , in accordance with its mandate to mobilize international support and assistance to the Palestinian people during the transitional period, and taking into consideration the suggestion made by the General Assembly in its resolution 48/213 of 21 December 1993, entitled " Assistance to the Palestinian people " .
٩٣ - وقررت اللجنة أن تكرس حلقتها الدراسية في المنطقة اﻷوروبية لموضوع " الاحتياجات التجارية والاستثمارية الفلسطينية " ، وفقا لولايتها المتمثلة في تعبئة الدعم والمساعدة الدوليان للشعب الفلسطيني خلال الفترة الانتقالية، ومراعاة للاقتراح الذي أبدته الجمعية العامة في قرارها ٤٨/٢١٣ المؤرخ ٢١ كانون اﻷول/ديسمبر والمعنون " تقديم المساعدة إلى الشعب الفلسطيني " .
