The Joint Intergovernmental Group of Experts on Maritime Liens and Mortgages and Related Subjects, established by the International Maritime Organization (IMO) and the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD), held its seventh session at the Palais des Nations, Geneva, from 5 to 9 December 1994.
١- عقد فريق الخبراء الحكومي الدولي المشترك المعني بالامتيازات والرهون البحرية والمواضيع المتصلة بها، الذي أنشأته المنظمة البحرية الدولية ومؤتمر اﻷمم المتحدة للتجارة والتنمية )اﻷونكتاد(، دورته السابعة في قصر اﻷمم، بجنيف، في الفترة من ٥ إلى ٩ كانون اﻷول/ديسمبر ٤٩٩١.

1. The Joint Intergovernmental Group of Experts (JIGE) will continue with the same officers as for the eighth session, who were: Mr. G. G. Ivanov (Russian Federation), Chairman; Mr. I. Melo Ruíz (Mexico) and Mr. Karl-Johan Gombrii (Norway), Vice-Chairmen; Mr Zengjie Zhu (China), Vice-Chairman-cum-Rapporteur.
١- ستظل عضوية مكتب فريق الخبراء الحكومي الدولي المشترك على ما كانت عليه في الدورة الثامنة، أي: السيد غ.غ. افانوف )الاتحاد الروسي(، رئيس؛ السيد إميلو رويس )المكسيك( والسيد كارل - يوهان غومبري )النرويج(، نائبان للرئيس؛ والسيد زنجيي زو )الصين(، نائب للرئيس ومقرر في الوقت نفسه.

Following the resolution adopted by the United Nations/IMO Conference of Plenipotentiaries on a Convention on Maritime Liens and Mortgages, See the report of the Conference (A/CONF.162/8), annex I. the Joint Intergovernmental Group of Experts was reconvened in order to examine the possible review of the International Convention for the Unification of Certain Rules Relating to the Arrest of Seagoing Ships, 1952.
٢- اثر القرار الذي اعتمده مؤتمر اﻷمم المتحدة والمنظمة البحرية الدولية للمفوضين لوضع اتفاقية بشأن الامتيازات والرهون البحرية)٢(، اجتمع فريق الخبراء الحكومي الدولي المشترك من جديد للنظر في إمكانية استعراض اتفاقية عام ٢٥٩١ الدولية لتوحيد بعض القواعد المتعلقة بحجز السفن البحرية.

5. The Joint Intergovernmental Group of Experts at its eighth session agreed to use the text of the draft articles for a convention on arrest of ships contained in document JIGE(VIII)/2, TD/B/CN.4/GE.2/5, LEG/MLM/32 as a basis for its discussion during the ninth session.
٥- وافق فريق الخبراء الحكومي الدولي المشترك في دورته الثامنة على استخدام نص مشاريع المواد لاتفاقية بشأن حجز السفن، الوارد في الوثيقة JIGE(VIII)/2, TD/B/CN.4/GE.2/5, LEG/MLM/32، كأساس لمناقشتـه خــلال الـدورة التاسعــة.

The Joint Intergovernmental Group of Experts on Maritime Liens and Mortgages and Related Subjects, at its ninth session, completed consideration of the draft articles for a convention on arrest of ships, as contained in document JIGE(IX)/2, TD/B/IGE.1/2, LEG/MLM/39.
اختتم فريق الخبراء الحكومي الدولي المشترك المعني بالامتيازات والرهون البحرية والمواضيع المتصلة بها، في دورته التاسعة، النظر في مشاريع المواد التي أعدت لاتفاقية بشأن حجز السفن، كما ترد في الوثيقة JIGE(IX)/2، TD/B/IGE.1/2، LEG/MLM/39.

After the Joint Intergovernmental Group of Experts on Maritime Liens and Mortgages and Related Subjects had been established, an observer of the CMI attended all its sessions and through him the CMI gave all possible cooperation and assistance in the preparation of the draft which became the 1993 Convention on Maritime Liens and Mortgages and in the preparation of the draft articles for a Convention on Arrest of Ships.
