وكانت كلية العلوم التربوية قد أُنشئت في أيلول/سبتمبر ١٩٩٣ في اﻷردن والضفة الغربية لتوفير برنامج تدريبي مدته أربع سنوات، لتأهيل معلمي اﻷونروا إلى مستوى الدرجة الجامعية اﻷولى.

Besides the two-year training course, the principal mode of job preparation utilized by UNRWA, Agency training centres in Jordan and the West Bank offered short-term training courses of 6 to 40 weeks’ duration, organized on an ad hoc basis in cooperation with non-governmental organizations or the Palestinian Authority.
وإلى جانب الدورة التدريبية التي تستغرق سنتين، قدم النموذج الرئيسي لﻹعداد المهني الذي تستخدمه اﻷونروا، ومراكز التدريب التابعة للوكالة في اﻷردن والضفة الغربية دورات تدريبية قصيرة اﻷجل مدتها من ستة أسابيع إلى أربعين أسبوعا، نُظمت على أساس خاص بتعاون مع المنظمات غير الحكومية أو السلطة الفلسطينية.

76. UNRWA provides pre-service teacher education to young Palestine refugees who successfully complete the general secondary school cycle at three of its training centres in Jordan and the West Bank.
٧٦ - تقدم اﻷونروا تدريب المعلمين للاجئين الفلسطينيين الشباب الذين ينهون المرحلة الثانوية العامة بنجاح، قبل دخولهم الخدمة، وذلك في ثلاثة مراكز للتدريب تابعة لها في اﻷردن والضفة الغربية.

32. Educational Sciences Faculty. The three branches of the Educational Sciences Faculty (ESF) in Jordan and the West Bank continued to provide pre-service and in-service teacher training leading to a first-level university degree.
٣٢ - كلية العلوم التربوية: واصلت الفروع الثلاثة لكلية العلوم التربوية في اﻷردن والضفة الغربية توفير تدريب المعلمين قبل الخدمة وفي أثنائها، وصولا إلى الشهادة الجامعية اﻷولى.

The majority (835) of the new posts are teaching posts required to meet natural growth in the school population and to cater to the enhanced curriculum introduced in schools in Jordan and the West Bank.
ومعظم الوظائف الجديدة )٨٣٥ وظيفة( هي وظائف تعليمية مطلوبة لمواجهة النمو الطبيعي في عدد تلامذة المدارس، ومواكبة المنهج المحسﱠن الذي تم استحداثه في مدارس اﻷردن والضفة الغربية.

Subsequently, it has been decided to upgrade this programme in Jordan and the West Bank to four-year faculties of educational sciences awarding first university degrees to an annual intake of 75 trainees in Jordan and 145 trainees in the West Bank as a result of the new stipulation by the host Governments that teachers in the elementary and preparatory cycles should have a first university degree.
وتقرر بعد ذلك رفع مستوى هذا البرنامج في اﻷردن والضفة الغربية ليصبح دراسة مدتها أربع سنوات في كليات لعلوم التربية تمنح درجات جامعية أولى إلى دفعات سنوية تضم ٥٧ متدربا في اﻷردن و ٥٤١ متدربا في الضفة الغربية، وذلك نتيجة للشرط الجديد الذي وضعته الحكومات المضيفة بوجوب حصول معلمي المرحلتين الابتدائية والاعدادية على درجة جامعية أولى.

وقد تقرر رفع مستوى برنامج تدريب المعلمين في اﻷردن والضفة الغربية بحيث يتحول الى كليتين لعلوم التربية تمنحان الدرجة الجامعية اﻷولى لدفعة سنوية تتألف من ٧٥ متدربا في اﻷردن و ١٤٥ متدربا في الضفة الغربية، وذلك نتيجة للقاعدة الجديدة التي سنتها الحكومات المضيفة وتقضي بحصول معلمي المرحلتين الابتدائية واﻹعدادية على درجة جامعية أولى.

٩٢ - كلية العلوم التربوية وفروعها - واصلت الفروع الثلاثة لكلية العلوم التربوية في اﻷردن والضفة الغربية تزويد المعلمين بالتدريب قبل الخدمة والتدريب أثناء الخدمة الذي يؤدي إلى الحصول على أول مستويات الشهادة الجامعية وذلك في إطار تحسين مؤهلات أعضاء ملاك التعليم التابع لﻷونروا بغية الوفاء بالمعايير المنقحة التي وضعتها حكومة اﻷردن والسلطة الفلسطينية.
