Article 4 provides, " a marriage or divorce of a Lao National and a foreigner or a stateless person shall not lead to the change of nationality of the Lao citizen.
وتنص المادة 4 على أن " زواج أو طلاق أحد مواطني لاو أو أحد الأجانب أو شخص عديم الجنسية لا يؤدي إلى تغيير جنسية لاو.

Besides, Article 4 of this Law stipulates " a marriage or divorce of a Lao National and a foreigner or a stateless person shall not lead to the change of nationality of the Lao citizen.

First, the Government of Lao PDR has set up a drafting committee for the preparation of the combined report. The organizations that have functions and responsibilities relating to the promotion and protection of women's rights comprise the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Labour and Social Welfare, the Lao National Commission for the Advancement of Women, the Lao Youth Union, the Lao Women's Union, etc.
51- وتضم المنظمات التي تضطلع بمهام ومسؤوليات تتعلق بتعزيز وحماية حقوق المرأة، وزارة التعليم، ووزارة العمل والرفاه الاجتماعي، ولجنة لاو الوطنية للنهوض بالمرأة، واتحاد لاو للشباب واتحاد لاو النسائي وما إلى ذلك.

For example, the government bodies responsible for the advancement of women have been set up at all levels: At national level is the Lao National Commission for the Advancement of Women (Lao NCAW); at the ministerial and equivalent level are the Sub CAWs in the line ministries and equivalent agencies; at provincial level are the provincial Sub CAWs.
فعلى سبيل المثال أٌنشئت الهيئات الحكومية المسؤولة عن النهوض بالمرأة على جميع المستويات: فعلى المستوى الوطني، توجد لجنة لاو الوطنية للنهوض بالمرأة؛ وعلى المستوى الوزاري وما يساويه من مستويات، توجد اللجان الفرعية للنهوض بالمرأة في الوزارات المختصة والوكالات المساوية لها؛ وعلى مستوى المقاطعات، توجد اللجان الفرعية للنهوض بالمرأة في المقاطعات.

Article 26 provides, " a child whose nationality is Lao and whose adoptive parents are foreigners or one of them is a foreigner while the other is a Lao National shall retain his/her Lao nationality.
وتنص المادة 26 على ما يلي: " الطفل الذي يحمل جنسية لاو وأبواه بالتبنِّي أجنبيان أو أحدهما أجنبي والآخر من مواطني لاو يحتفظ بجنسية لاو.

The child in question may relinquish Lao nationality upon the request of the adoptive parents; a child whose nationality is Lao and whose adoptive parents are stateless or one of them is a stateless and the other is a Lao National shall retain Lao nationality " .
ويجوز لهذا الطفل التنازل عن جنسية لاو بناء على طلب الأبوين بالتبنِّي؛ والطفل الذي يحمل جنسية لاو وأبواه بالتبنِّي من عديمي الجنسية أو أحدهما عديم الجنسية والآخر من مواطني لاو يحتفظ بجنسية لاو. "
