The Secretary-General of UNCTAD has made several appeals to all member States to attract contributions for the Trust Fund for financing the participation of experts from developing countries, including LDCs, and countries with economies in transition to UNCTAD expert meetings.

Recalls paragraph 90 of the Accra Accord and urges UNCTAD to strengthen technical assistance projects to developing countries acceding to the World Trade Organization - in particular to the LDCs and countries with economies in transition - and to explore new finance mechanisms for these projects;
