The CTCN is therefore exploring ways to provide targeted assistance to national designated entities to facilitate the generation and submission of requests that are in line with country priorities and projects, and aims to give priority in this regard to the least developed country Parties.

Recognizing further that many of the least developed country Parties do not have the capacity to prepare and submit national communications in the foreseeable future, or to convey their urgent and immediate needs in respect of their vulnerability and adaptation to the adverse effects of climate change,

least developed country Parties would also require assistance to build up capacity for monitoring, reporting and verifying emissions, and for selecting, designing and evaluating CDM project activities.

4- يدعو البلدان الأطراف المتقدِّمة ومنظمات الأمم المتحدة والوكالات المتخصصة وغيرها من المنظمات المعنية، وكذلك الوكالات الثنائية والمتعددة الأطراف إلى مواصلة زيادة دعمها المالي والتقني لعملية خطط التكيف الوطنية لصالح البلدان الأطراف الأقل نمواً والبلدان الأطراف النامية الأخرى المعنية التي ليست من أقل البلدان نمواً؛
