Mr. Leite is responsible for the following programmes related to marine mineral resources: the Programme for the Evaluation of the Mineral Potential of the Brazilian Legal Continental Shelf (REMPLAC) and the Programme for the Prospecting and Exploration of Mineral Resources in the Equatorial and South Atlantic International Area (PROAREA).

36. Mr. Pinto Leite (International Platform of Jurists for East Timor) said that he was also speaking on behalf of the Stichting Zelfbeschikking West-Sahara, an association established under Dutch law to defend the right to self-determination of the people of Western Sahara.

38. Mr. Leite (International Platform of Jurists for East Timor) said that he was also speaking on behalf of the Stichting Zelfbeschikking West-Sahara, an association established under Dutch law for the defence of the right to self-determination of the people of Western Sahara.
38 - السيد ليتي (منبر الحقوقيين الدولي لتيمور الشرقية): قال إنه يتكلم أيضا نيابة عن جمعية ستيختينغ Zelfbeschikking الصحراء الغربية، وهي جمعية أنشئت بموجب القانون الهولندي للدفاع عن حق شعب الصحراء الغربية في تقرير المصير.

At its 193rd meeting, on 15 July 2014, the Council elected Juan Pablo Paniego (Argentina), Carlos Roberto Leite (Brazil) and Michelle Walker (Jamaica) to fill the vacancies on the Legal and Technical Commission left by the resignations of Víctor Enrique Marzari (Argentina), Kaiser Gonçalves de Souza (Brazil) and Laleta Davis-Mattis (Jamaica), respectively, for the remainder of their terms of office.

Mr. Pinto Leite (International Platform of Jurists for East Timor) said that Morocco, the Power occupying most of the Territory of Western Sahara, was opposed to the holding of a free, democratic and impartial referendum that would allow the Sahrawi people to choose between independence or integration into Morocco or another State.
