The present annotations have been prepared by the Secretariat in the light of the comments and suggestions made by the Working Group on the Right to Development at its sixth session.

265. Given the proposals on changed work methods made by the Working Group on the Consultative Process, the Committee believed that the subject would prove suitable to treatment in accordance with the new working procedures.

He had also expressed the hope that the ILC Drafting Committee would take into account the recommendation on the effects of invalid reservations which had been made by the Working Group on Reservations and endorsed by the Meeting of Chairpersons, as indeed the ILC Special Rapporteur had done in drafting the relevant guideline.

18. The European Union appreciated the progress made by the Working Group on the elaboration of an optional protocol to the International Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination against Women and hoped that that work could be successfully completed the following year.
١٨ - وأعرب عن تقدير الاتحاد اﻷوروبي للتقدم الذي أحرزه الفريق العامل المعني بإعداد بروتوكول اختياري للاتفاقية الدولية للقضاء على جميع أشكال التمييز ضد المرأة وقال إنه يأمل في أن ينتهي هذا العمل بنجاح في السنة المقبلة.

The purpose of the study was to enhance the quality of the technical assistance provided to Member States by taking forward key recommendations made by the Working Group on Technical Assistance and during the third session of the Conference of the States parties, as set out in its resolution 3/4.

The Committee notes with concern the general allegations made by the Working Group on Enforced or Involuntary Disappearances that no case of enforced disappearance has led to the prosecution or conviction of the perpetrator and that reparation, including compensation has been extremely limited in Thailand (A/HRC/22/45, paras. 457 - 466) (arts. 2, 4, 12, 14 and 16).
