27. The theme of sustainable forest management and food security was introduced by Nelson Maina of the Ministry of Forestry and Wildlife of Kenya.
27 - عرض نلسون ماينا من وزارة الحراجة والحياة البرية في كينيا موضوع الإدارة المستدامة للغابات والأمن الغذائي.

On the basis of the Kenya case study, Mr. Maina highlighted the importance of articulating the linkage between sustainable forest management and food security as a pathway to a green economy.
واستناداً إلى دراسة الحالة الإفرادية لكينيا، سلط السيد ماينا الضوء على أهمية توضيح الصلة بين الإدارة المستدامة للغابات والأمن الغذائي كسبيل إلى إرساء الاقتصاد الأخضر.

Ms. Maina said while the objective of setting fewer goals was commendable, it would be very difficult to achieve. Instead, the focus should be on how they were addressed at national level.
وقالت السيدة ماينا إنَّ تحديد عدد أقل من الأهداف يمثل غاية محمودة، إلاَّ إنَّه صعب المنال جداً، بل ينبغي بدلاً من ذلك أن يكون التركيز على كيفية معالجتها على الصعيد الوطني.

For example, the Army has consistently maintained that the decision of its court martial proceedings in the Maina Sunuwar case, which sentenced the responsible officers to temporary suspensions, constituted appropriate punishment.

In this regard, some Member States mentioned the need to bring to account those responsible for the torture and death of Maina Sunuwar.
