I wish to address you on behalf of the Federal Government of the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia in connection with the forthcoming debate in the Security Council of the question of the mandate of the Mission of the United Nations on Prevlaka.
أود أن أخاطبكم نيابة عن الحكومة الاتحادية لجمهورية يوغوسلافيا الاتحادية، بشأن المناقشة القادمة التي سيجريها مجلس الأمن بشأن مسألة ولاية بعثة الأمم المتحدة في بريفلاكا.

The members of the Council made clear their view that the mission to be sent by the Secretary-General would not change, override or take over the mandate of the Mission of the Commission on Human Rights.
وأبان أعضاء المجلس بوضوح رأيهم بأن البعثة التي سيوفدها اﻷمين العام لن تغير أو تبطل أو تتولى هي ولاية بعثة لجنة حقوق اﻹنسان.

Considering that the disputed issue of Prevlaka has not been solved and that the presence of the Mission of the United Nations is very important, the Federal Government of the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia expects the Security Council to extend the mandate of the Mission of the United Nations for the next six months in its unchanged form.
ونظرا لأن مسألة بريفلاكا المتنازع عليها لم تسو بعد، ونظرا لما لوجود بعثة الأمم المتحدة من أهمية بالغة، تتوقع يوغوسلافيا من مجلس الأمن أن يمدد ولاية بعثة الأمم المتحدة لفترة قادمة مدتها ستة أشهر مع الاحتفاظ بشكلها دون تغيير.

Taking into account the need to ensure the continuity of the process of democratization and national reconciliation, to complete national reconstruction and to promote sustainable development, as well as the need to strengthen the national machinery which will monitor the consolidation of the peace process before the completion of the mandate of the Mission of the United Nations in El Salvador,
وإذ تأخذ في اعتبارها ضرورة تأمين استمرار عملية التحول الديمقراطي والمصالحة الوطنية واستكمال التعمير الوطني وتعزيز التنمية المستدامة، فضلا عن ضرورة تدعيم اﻵليات الوطنية التي ستتولى رصد عملية توطيد السلام قبل انتهاء ولاية بعثة اﻷمم المتحدة في السلفادور،

9. Decides further, as an ad hoc arrangement, to apportion the amount of 2,379,319 dollars gross (2,287,899 dollars net) for the period from 16 May to 30 June 1998 among Member States in accordance with the scheme set out in paragraph 8 above, subject to the decision of the Security Council to extend the mandate of the Mission of Observers beyond 15 May 1998;
٩ - تقرر كذلك، باعتبار ذلك ترتيبا مخصصا، تحصيص مبلغ إجماليه ٣١٩ ٣٧٩ ٢ دولار )صافيه ٨٩٩ ٢٨٧ ٢ دولار( للفترة من ١٦ أيار/ مايو إلى ٣٠ حزيران/يونيه ١٩٩٨، فيما بين الدول اﻷعضاء وفقا للمخطط الوارد في الفقرة ٨ أعلاه، وذلك رهنا بصدور مقرر مجلس اﻷمن بتمديد ولاية بعثة المراقبين إلى ما بعد ١٥ أيار/ مايو ١٩٩٨؛

1. The present report is submitted pursuant to General Assembly resolution 50/7 of 31 October 1995, in which the Assembly approved my proposal to extend the mandate of the Mission of the United Nations in El Salvador (MINUSAL) for a further period of six months and requested that I report back to it on the implementation of the resolution.
١ - يقدم هذا التقرير عملا بقرار الجمعية العامة ٥٠/٧ المؤرخ ٣١ تشرين اﻷول/أكتوبر ١٩٩٥ الذي وافقت فيه الجمعية العامة على اقتراحي بتمديد ولاية بعثة اﻷمم المتحدة في السلفادور لمدة ستة أشهر أخرى، وطلبت إلي أن أقدم تقريرا عن تنفيذ ذلك القرار.

Recalling its resolutions on the situation in Central America, in particular resolution 50/7 of 31 October 1995, in which it, inter alia, approved the proposal of the Secretary-General to extend the mandate of the Mission of the United Nations in El Salvador for a further period of six months and requested the Secretary-General to report on its implementation,
إذ تشير إلى قراراتها بشأن الحالة في أمريكا الوسطى، ولا سيما القرار ٥٠/٧ المؤرخ ٣١ تشرين اﻷول/ اكتوبر ١٩٩٥ الذي وافقت فيه، في جملة أمور، على اقتراح اﻷمين العام بتمديد ولاية بعثة اﻷمم المتحدة في السلفادور لمدة ستة أشهر أخرى، وطلبت إليه أن يقدم تقريرا عن تنفيذ ذلك القرار،

Just a few days ago, on 31 October 1995, the General Assembly took another important decision, also supported by the European Union: it adopted the Secretary-General's proposal to extend the mandate of the Mission of the United Nations in El Salvador (MINUSAL) for six months.
ولقد اتخذت الجمعية العامة قبل أيام قليلة، أي يوم ٣١ تشرين اﻷول/أكتوبر ١٩٩٥، قرارا هاما آخر نال بدوره تأييد الاتحاد اﻷوروبي فلقد أقرت اقتراح اﻷمين العام بتمديد ولاية بعثة اﻷمم المتحدة في السلفادور لمدة ستة أشهر.
