All observers shall carry out their functions in accordance with their mandate on the basis of the " mandate of the Observer Mission " of 1 March 1993, agreed upon by the Minsk Group of the Conference on Security and Cooperation in Europe.

10 - يقرر كذلك أن تتولى بعثة الأمم المتحدة في سيراليون أمر العنصرين المدني والعسكري من الناحية الفنية لبعثة مراقبي الأمم المتحدة في سيراليون، ومهامها، بالإضافة إلى أصولها ويقرر في هذا الشأن إنهاء ولاية بعثة المراقبين فور إنشاء بعثة الأمم المتحدة في سيراليون؛

This amount includes $9.1 million gross for the period from 14 January to 30 June 1999, equivalent to some $1.6 million gross per month, subject to the decision of the Security Council to extend the mandate of the Observer Mission beyond 13 January 1999.

3. Following the extension of the mandate of the Observer Mission on 12 January 1996, an amount of $5,740,234 was assessed on Member States for the period from 13 January to 30 June 1996 after taking into consideration credits to Member States totalling $1,518,172.

15. The Security Council by its resolution 985 (1995) of 13 April 1995 decided, inter alia, to extend the mandate of the Observer Mission until 30 June 1995.

18. As indicated in paragraph 16 above, the Security Council, by its resolution 1020 (1995), decided to adjust the mandate of the Observer Mission and to increase the number of military observers to a maximum level of 160 to carry out the following mandate:

The mandate of the Observer Mission was subsequently extended by the Council in its resolutions 1220 (1999) and 1231 (1999), by which the mandate was extended until 13 June 1999.

وجرى تنقيح ولاية بعثة المراقبين وتمديدها بموجب قرارات لاحقة صادرة عن مجلس اﻷمن، كان آخرها القرار ١١٥٠ )١٩٩٨( المؤرخ ٣٠ كانون الثاني/يناير ١٩٩٨، الذي مدد الولاية حتى ٣١ تموز/يوليه ١٩٩٨.

16. Decides to extend the mandate of the Observer Mission for a new period terminating on 31 January 1998, subject to a review by the Council of the mandate of the Mission in the event of any changes that may be made in the mandate or in the presence of the peacekeeping force, and welcomes the intention of the Secretary-General, as mentioned in his report, to keep the Council informed of developments in this regard;
١٦ - يقرر تمديد ولاية بعثة المراقبين لفترة جديدة تنتهي في ٣١ كانون الثاني/يناير ١٩٩٨، رهنا باستعراض المجلس لولاية البعثة في حالة حدوث أي تغييرات في ولاية قوة حفظ السلام أو وجودها؛ ويرحب باعتزام اﻷمين العام إبقاء المجلس على علم بالتطورات التي تستجد في هذا الصدد، على النحو المذكور في تقريره؛

(b) Assessment of the amount in paragraph 3 (a) above at a monthly rate of $1,367,700 gross ($1,296,700 net), should the Security Council decide to continue the mandate of the Observer Mission beyond 30 June 1999.
