Before the adoption of the national Law of the Sea, on 14 June 2005, the National Assembly of Viet Nam adopted the amended Maritime Code of Viet Nam, which entered into force on 1 January 2006, governing maritime navigation and entry into and departure from Vietnamese seaports.

2. Article 2 of the draft convention provides: “A ship may be arrested ... only by or under the authority of a Court of the Contracting State in which the arrest is made”, whereas article 110 of the Moroccan Maritime Code stipulates: “The arrest of a ship may be effected at any time either under an enforceable instrument or under the authority of the competent court ...”.
2- وتنص المادة 2من الاتفاقية على أنه " لا يجوز حجز سفينة ما ... إلا عن طريق أو تحت سلطة محكمة تابعة للدولة المتعاقدة التي يتم فيها الحجز " بينما تنص المادة 110 من التقنين البحري المغربي على أنه:

3. Article 111 of the Moroccan Maritime Code of Commerce stipulates concerning seizure in execution: “A ship may not be seized in execution from the time when the captain receives permission to sail until completion of the shipment”.
3- وقد نص في المادة 111 من التقنين البحري المغربي بصدد الحجز التنفيذي على أنه: " لا يجوز توقيع الحجز التنفيذي على السفينة متى حاز الربان تصريحاً بالإبحار وحتى نهاية الرحلة " .
