This role was intended to provide a consistent response to requests by Member States for electoral assistance and to channel such requests to the appropriate responder within the United Nations system.

١٤ - تطلب إلى اﻷمين العام أن يقدم إلى الجمعية العامة في دورتها الثانية والخمسين تقريرا عن تنفيذ القرار ٤٩/١٩٠ وهذا القرار، وخاصة فيما يتعلق بحالة الطلبات المقدمة من الدول اﻷعضاء فيما يتعلق بالمساعدة الانتخابية والتحقق من نزاهة الانتخابات، وعن جهوده لزيادة الدعم الذي تقدمه المنظمة لعملية إقامة الديمقراطية في الدول اﻷعضاء.
