Noting that Afghanistan and other States members of the Economic Cooperation Organization had signed a regional transport cooperation agreement, he said that his country was in dire need of international funding for the development of transport infrastructure, since armed conflict in the 1980s had destroyed the country's road network.
12 - وبعد أن أشار إلى أن أفغانستان والدول الأخرى الأعضاء في منظمة التعاون الاقتصادي كانت قد وقّعت على اتفاق إقليمي للتعاون في مجال النقل، قال إن بلده في حاجة ماسة إلى التمويل الدولي لتنمية الهياكل الأساسية للنقل، نظرا لأن الصراع المسلح في الثمانينات من القرن الماضي دمّر شبكة الطرق في البلد.

2. Takes note of the Dushanbe communiqué, issued at the eleventh meeting of the Ministers for Foreign Affairs of the States members of the Economic Cooperation Organization, held on 4 May 2001, in which the States members reiterated their common aspirations and resolve for a prosperous region of the Economic Cooperation Organization;
2 - تحيط علما أيضا ببلاغ دوشانبيه الصادر عن الاجتماع الحادي عشر لوزراء خارجية الدول الأعضاء في منظمة التعاون الاقتصادي المعقود في 4 أيار/مايو 2001، الذي أكدت فيه الدول الأعضاء من جديد تطلعاتها المشتركة وتصميمها على نشر الرخاء في منطقة منظمة التعاون الاقتصادي؛

16. Also notes with satisfaction the efforts of the States members of the Economic Cooperation Organization in the field of science and technology for the development of the region and endeavours in this regard, including the establishment of the Science Foundation of the Economic Cooperation Organization;

12. Also welcomes the efforts of the States members of the Economic Cooperation Organization to launch an international passenger train and container train on the route connecting Almaty, Tashkent, Tehran and Istanbul on the Trans-Asian Railway main line, which will contribute significantly to the restoration of some arteries of the Great Silk Route;

15. Also notes with satisfaction the efforts of the States members of the Economic Cooperation Organization in the field of science and technology for the development of the region, including the establishment of the Science Foundation of the Economic Cooperation Organization;

6. Welcomes the enhancement of cooperation between the United Nations Industrial Development Organization and the Economic Cooperation Organization, and recommends continuation of their joint programmes to strengthen the institutional infrastructure to overcome the technical barriers to trade and promote sanitary and phytosanitary measures to be taken by the States members of the Economic Cooperation Organization;

6. Invites the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development, the World Trade Organization and the International Trade Centre to develop strategies for States members of the Economic Cooperation Organization in their trade liberalization processes that could lead to the regional and global integration of their economies;

15. Also notes the recent efforts of the Economic Cooperation Organization to initiate feasibility studies for enhancing the connectivity of the ports of its member States with those of the States members of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations as a way to strengthen the access of the landlocked States members of the Economic Cooperation Organization to international markets;

Expressed their satisfaction about the successful holding of the Eighth ECO Ministerial Meeting on Transport and Communications, held in Ashgabat in June 2011, and urged the States members of the Economic Cooperation Organization to take all necessary measures to implement the decisions of the Ministerial Meeting;
11 - يعربون عن ارتياحهم لانعقاد الاجتماع الوزاري الثامن لمنظمة التعاون الاقتصادي بشأن النقل والاتصالات بنجاح في عشق أباد في حزيران/يونيه 2011، ويحثون الدول الأعضاء في منظمة التعاون الاقتصادي على اتخاذ جميع التدابير اللازمة لتنفيذ القرارات الصادرة عن الاجتماع الوزاري؛

10. Encourages all members of the Economic Cooperation Organization that have not done so to accede to the Convention concerning International Carriage by Rail and the Customs Convention on the International Transport of Goods under Cover of TIR Carnets (TIR Convention);

Welcomes the holding in Tehran in June 2001 of a joint Economic Cooperation Organization and United Nations Industrial Development Organization training course on technology management and technology transfer negotiations, which will enhance cooperation among the States members of the Economic Cooperation Organization in industry, particularly in the development of small and medium-sized enterprises;
12 - ترحب بانعقاد دورة تدريبية مشتركة بين منظمة التعاون الاقتصادي ومنظمة الأمم المتحدة للتنمية الصناعية في طهران، في حزيران/يونيه 2001، عن مفاوضات إدارة التكنولوجيا ونقلها ستسفر عن تعزيز التعاون بين الدول الأعضاء في منظمة التعاون الاقتصادي في مجال الصناعة، ولا سيما تطوير المؤسسات الصغيرة الحجم والمتوسطة الحجم؛
