Although Bouzid Mezine's family still hopes to find him alive, the Committee notes the author's and his family's fear that he may be deceased in view of his prolonged disappearance.
ورغم تعلق أسرة بوزيد مزين بالأمل في العثور على ابنها حياً، فإن اللجنة تلاحظ أن صاحب البلاغ وأسرته يخشون أن يكون قد توفي نظراً لطول مدة اختفائه.

In the case at hand, the Committee notes that the State party has produced no evidence to indicate that it has fulfilled its obligation to protect Bouzid Mezine's life.
