In this regard, the General Assembly may wish to encourage the United Nations development system to take further measures to promote South-South and triangular cooperation in regular programme implementation at the country level, drawing on the vast experience of middleincome countries and other programme countries in the sharing of knowledge, technology transfer and fostering regional integration;

In that connection, the term " middleincome country " should be revised because it reflected neither internal inequalities often obscured by national averages nor efforts to overcome the vulnerability of national economies and particularly of large segments of the population.
