2. Decides that until 25 October 2014 the arms embargo on Somalia shall not apply to deliveries of weapons, ammunition or military equipment or the provision of advice, assistance or training, intended solely for the development of the Security Forces of the Federal Government of Somalia, to provide security for the Somali people, except in relation to deliveries of the items set out in the annex of resolution 2111 (2013);

Also decides that the measures imposed by paragraph 5 of resolution 733 (1992) and further elaborated upon in paragraphs 1 and 2 of resolution 1425 (2002) shall not apply to supplies of weapons or military equipment or the provision of assistance intended solely for the support of or use by United Nations personnel, including the United Nations Political Office for Somalia or its successor mission;

Decides that the Federal Government of Somalia has the primary responsibility to notify the Committee, for its information at least five days in advance, of any deliveries of weapons or military equipment or the provision of assistance intended solely for the Security Forces of the Federal Government of Somalia, as permitted in paragraph 6 of the present resolution and excluding the items listed in the annex to the present resolution;

(b) The Security Council explicitly clarify whether the measures imposed by paragraph 5 of resolution 733 (1992) and further elaborated by paragraphs 1 and 2 of resolution 1425 (2002) are to be applied to deliveries of weapons or military equipment or the provision of assistance intended solely to provide security, escort and protection services in Somalia to personnel from the international diplomatic community;

In the same resolution, the Council reiterated the partial lifting, until 6 March 2014, of the arms embargo on Somalia for deliveries of weapons or military equipment or the provision of advice, assistance or training, intended solely for the development of the security forces of the Federal Government of Somalia, which was originally granted by resolution 2093 (2013).
